Sunday September 29 At the Royal Alberta Museum from 10 am to 4 pm

In conjunction with Alberta culture days, MADE, the SDA and the Royal Alberta Museum will be hosting “Design a Chair” on September 29th to complement the RAM 'Art of Seating' exhibit.

Held in the upper salon, this workshop will walk you through the process of designing your very own chair. You will learn about the considerations of where and why you’re sitting, ergonomics, materials, and elements of design.

Local designers Geoffrey Lilge and Jeffrey Pelton will be there to showcase elements such as tools and joinery that are part of real life furniture design studios within Edmonton.  A fun activity adults or children that will leave you with a better appreciation for those modest pieces of furniture that accept your bum.
