Announcing Throwing Shade: K-Days 2024 Design Competition

Hey Edmonton, we want you to design another piece of K-Days!

Explore Edmonton Corporation, in partnership with MADE, is hosting the second K-Days design competition to bring more local design and art to Edmonton’s Fairgrounds. The deadline to apply is December 7, so don’t delay!

In this year’s design competition, we’re looking for inspiring designs for distinctive shade structures to add to the historical fabric of K-Days. The awarded design concept will receive a $25,000 cash prize and up to $100,000 for the production and fabrication of the design, which will be installed and ready to help fairgoers beat the heat (and maybe throw shade in fomo-generating Instagram posts) at K-Days in summer 2024.
